Title 1 Parent Involvement Math Night, September 26, 2017

GET INVOLVED!

Get the facts…Get Connected…GET INVOLVED!

Patent engagement is very important to your child’s social and academic success at school. These videos were created with real parents telling their real stories about how they get involved in their child’s school. We understand how busy parents are but there are many different ways they can get involved in their child’s education. No matter how little or how much time you have, there are many ways you can positively impact your child’s education at school and at home. Check out the ways these parents have gotten involved and then think about what your “Best Get Involved Moment” is too! Remember when parents get involved and stay involved, all students achieve at higher levels.

What is Title I?

Title I is the largest federally funded program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Through Title I, money is given to school districts around the country based on the number of low-income families in each district. Each district uses its Title I money for extra educational services for children most in need of educational help. The focus of the Title I program is on helping all students meet the same high standards and expectations.

As part of its Assurances within NCLB program grant applications and pursuant to Section 9306 of the No Child Left Behind Act, an LEA accepting federal funds also agrees to adopt local written procedures for the receipt and resolution of complaints alleging violations of law in the administration of covered programs. Title I Parent Engagement Planning Meeting

Do you want to have a voice in the Title I Program here at Fifth Grade Academy?

Then consider attending the Title I Parent Engagement Planning Meeting! Caring parents (like you), Fifth Grade staff, and community members are all welcome to attend. We meet two times during the school year. The planning meeting helps decide topics for upcoming parent workshops, to decide/approve the Title I school’s budget, and writing/approving Title 1 Documents.  Please join us for our first meeting on August 7 at either 7:30 AM in the office conference room or at 5:15 PM in the media center.  If you have questions, please call Sheila Pressley at 706-886-2880 ext 2029.
